(PLEASE WAIT FOR THESE COOL PICTS TO LOAD!)
Welcome to emod design's web site. emod design
is everything modern omni design, which is communications (anime/manga
(animation/comics) and movie design concepts, as well as practical design
(architectural, fashion, vehicle, equipment design). I am a do-it-because-I-love-it
artist with a wide range of interests, including story writing, performance,
and directing talents. I love practical concepts for architecture, with
some interesting ideas on new construction techniques, and am developing
several projects for societal improvement including a better type of coffee
shop. My primary creation medium is computer graphics (regular and poster
size prints), including 24” mechanical and architectural plans and elevations,
3D renders, fashion, animation design, and various art posters. I am interested
in animation/movie design, and am looking for opportunities to provide
concepts for intelligent projects. Also, I am interested in providing architectural,
equipment, fashion design looks and tidbits. Please mail me if you have
a project that might be of interest to emod design.
emod design hosts a creative sharing program, in particular with those who love the medium of "manga", and "anime", the Japanese words and style for comics and animation artwork, but any enthusiastic artists who would like to share their creative efforts in any medium are welcomed to send in piece. All artwork will be kept on file at AMG, or Artist Manga Group, and when you send in a creative work it will be included in a scanned collection of other entries, and sent back to you via real mail so you can check out other creative people's creative ideas. To enter, send in a copy or original picture you have made on a max. 8 by 11 sheet, along with one stamp for a letter size return collection. Along with your entry, include your age, two or three of your favorite titles (comics, anime, whatever), and a brief description of yourself and your interests. If you can fit you picture into a 5" tall and 8" wide maximum, you may attach it to an email. Your profile and artwork will be kept on file, and used for possible joint works, (as interests and skill levels are matched up). All ages and skill levels welcome, with any variety of artistic interests such as models (send a picture of), a clip of writing on any subject, maybe an idea, a poem, a story line, or any creative tidbit you think is worth sharing. Small sketches welcome! Not all work sent in will be displayed in mail-back collection, but the best pieces from all recently received. A few of the most special pieces received may be added to an update to this web site. *Address below
SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER 1998 AMG SPECIAL ENTRIES
These are some special entries
from AMG. From right to left are: Envelope characters, Gilbert Navarrete
age 16 from Apple Valley California. Gilbert really goes all out for these
envelope pictures, and they really stand out as great efforts. I really
like the colors in these, and the one with the green around him is Gilbertís
"self character". We can look forward to more great work from this enthusiastic
artist. Keep 'em coming Gilbert! Next is "Oh My Goddess" character by Sabrina
Moore, age 13 from West Hills California. This is truly an outstanding
work by Sabrina, who at age 13 found the wisdom of xeroxing her line pencils,
and then coloring them in. The composition on this piece is spectacular,
and really displays a creative talent. Rating: Waaay cool! Last is "Sequoi"
by Nemiku (me!) age 28 from West Hills California. This is a character
I developed for my picture book in progress, "Visioner II - Rainy City"
(preview in this web site)
Artist Manga Group shares
art freely with any people who enjoy sharing their art. All artwork sent
in will be given freely away for people to enjoy sharing and getting feedback
for their drawings, paintings, models, whatever, and all subjects and sizes
welcome. If anyone would like a piece of artwork seen here, send a request
via email or real mail describing which picture or file you would like,
if you would like a print or data, and if you want a print you must mail
in two stamps for each 8 by 11 of the picture you want. You can also order
full poster size for some emod design pictures by Nemiku using a 300 dpi
24" color plotter (specify if you want full poster size, or specify a size
in-between. Send five stamps to receive mail tube with poster inside.)
If you want data, send in a zip disk with enough stamps to cover return
postage (usually about 5 or 6 should do it, depending on envelope or package
for disk you use to send in), and specify preferred data types (TIFF, BMP,
JPEG, EPS etc. and preferred program i.e. FreeHand/Photoshop etc. and pc

This is a story about a world secretly
being conquered by ancient demons, the original long time dominant life
form of what was then not a universe, but a matrix of dimensional islands.
These evil and fiercely combative creatures created and ruled the known
format of existence for untold time, but then a product of their own creation
emerged, and this creation was a scientist who was made to generate technology
for the ancient demons. It so happened that he overthrew the demons, and
recreated the whole of existence to his own design. The scientist, deciding
that the universe should be based on love rather than endless combat, and
that this way called "love" should be the perfect ruling power of the universe,
he split the life energy of the ancient demons into positive and negative,
or male and female, and based all life on a hierarchy of these split creatures.
However, there were many mistakes and evils that were possible of this
new format of life, necessitating a long and terrible program of the experience
of these wrong things. So the scientist set the program in motion, however,
some of the ancient demons found a way to resist being split by the scientist,
and escaped into nether dimensions, quietly planning their reemergence
into reality. Finally the demons found a way to enter the new reality,
keeping concealed from detection by the evolving creatures of the new format,
and thus began their plan to destroy the work of the renegade scientist.
Now in this world where we find the Rainy
City, the hidden demons had been working their evil for thousands of years,
undermining the basis which made the creatures of the new format strong.
Now at the end of a yet another terrible age for the evolving creatures,
the demons had succeeded in corrupting most of the souls there, because
the demons cleverly disguised their development and recruiting of evil
slaves as the very basis of survival on that planet. Those that saw the
evil, only saw it as children, and if they lasted longer in seeing the
evil, even they were eventually turned from seeing it, because necessity
and the inability to understand were long term effective. Only a rare few
could refrain from joining in the way of evil, even if they did not understand
it any more than the rest of the world, but for refraining from way of
destruction to the soul, they were hated and rejected by the world. Being
poor and driven out of every place, they became homeless, just sitting
in various places, because there was nothing to do that was not evil. In
the heart of Rainy City, which was the center of glory, power, and proliferation
of the way of evil, there was one such homeless child who happened upon
a retired mad scientist in the heart of the city, and from this relation
emerged the second recorded incidence of the Visioner, known as the "TechnoVisioner".
She, according to the plan of the doll maker, started the revolution of
liberation for their kind... those with true hearts.
Here are some more samples of emod design. The first picture is a look
at one of the rooms inside the "emod house" shown previously. Next
is a 3D design for a ship I call "Amagun". Next is an plan overview for
the emod house.
